Before letting out a buy to let property to a tenant, a landlord should take care of certain things. Firstly, he should not trust the tenant who has applied for the rental unit. A landlord should not consider a tenant based on the face value. A tenant may seem genuine overtly but he may have deceived his previous landlord. He might have criminal case against him. Therefore, a landlord should always check the tenant's information such as credit details, personal information, employment status, previous landlord information etc.
