Sheerness - A Town of Sheer Beauty in Devon

Sheerness is a town on the waterfront, in the North West area of Kent, on the Isle of Sheppey. It originally started out as a fort built to guard the River Medway from naval attack. This town came into an official existence in the 19 century where it was purely named by the sheer beauty of the mouth of River Medway.
